"Pneumonia Prevention Quality Measure" shows if patients get care that is proven to prevent pneumonia. The care includes giving the Influenza (flu) and Pneumococcal (pneumonia) vaccinations. This quality measure is helpful to patients and their families to show how well our hospitals help prevent pneumonia in our patients.

If we score low on this quality indicator, the Quality Improvement, Patient Safety and Clinical Risk Reduction Committee talks about the results and makes a plan to improve our scores.
